Having previously practised immigration law, she has significant experience advising on family matters with immigration issues.

Professional referrals and recommendations from previous clients make up a large part of Susanne’s work, which stands as testament to her achievements for her clients.

Education: Susanne read Business and Law as an undergraduate before specialising in Law during her post graduate qualifications at Northumbria University.

Press & publications: As a leader in her field, Susanne is often called upon to give comment on developments in family law in the media.

Career: Susanne joined Vardags in 2017, having previously been head of family law at a firm in the North East. She has over 10 years’ worth of experience advising on divorce and family matters. Susanne has also previously represented clients within the immigration sphere including contested hearings opposite the Home Office with great success.

Susanne represented a TV personality in extremely complex children act proceedings and was able to secure the child’s residence with her client, despite this being challenged by the other parent and grandparents. Susanne liaised with numerous media sources who were publishing articles on her client to ensure that her client’s case was not prejudiced and reporting restrictions were adhered to.

Languages: Susanne is currently learning Urdu.

Personal: She lives with her husband and two children and is interested in theatre and cinema. She enjoys family days out at the beach and walks along the Northumberland coast.
