Irene Karidas

Career

Irene is a family solicitor with experience in complex, high‑value domestic and international family law matters. She advises on matrimonial finance cases involving substantial and multi‑jurisdictional assets, including business interests, trusts and art collections, and regularly deals with issues such as non‑disclosure, interim financial relief, conduct arguments and enforcement.

She has acted in international divorce and children cases, including jurisdictional disputes, Hague Convention applications, relocation, surrogacy and the recognition and enforcement of foreign orders. Irene also advises on nuptial agreements and encourages alternative dispute resolution where appropriate, with experience representing clients in arbitration and other non‑court forums.

Earlier in her career, Irene gained experience in criminal defence and civil litigation, which informs her work on cases involving safeguarding concerns and criminally tainted assets.

Education

Irene completed her LLB (Hons) at the University of Warwick, followed by a Master’s Degree in Medical Law & Ethics at King’s College London. She did her LPC at BPP Law School in London.

Languages

Irene is fluent in Greek, and can speak elementary Spanish.

Personal

Irene grew up in Athens and attended international schools before moving to England to study law. During her time at university, she was actively involved in pro bono work, including projects focused on human rights education and assisting lawyers in the United States on criminal justice matters.

Outside of practice, Irene enjoys road trips and exploring mountainous regions, particularly in Greece. She is also an avid film enthusiast, with a keen interest in international cinema.
