Ellie is an Associate at Vardags in our Civil Litigation department. She has quickly developed a strong understanding of the complexities and nuances of these cases and supports clients ranging from SMEs and corporations to high net worth individuals, including cases with an international element.
Ellie completed her training contract at Vardags. Ellie works on the full range of civil litigation matters, including:
- Shareholder disputes
- Pre-trial injections
- Pre-action disclosure applications
- Security for costs applications
As well as her experience in Civil Litigation, Ellie also has worked on various employment law issues, in particular, in relation to sexual misconduct cases.
Ellie has also worked in our Family Department and has experience of:
- Non-molestation and occupation proceedings
- Financial remedy proceedings in divorce
This means that she can offer clients a cross-collaborative approach to their cases, where there are often several different areas of the law involved.
Ellie is noted for her personable, responsive and attentive approach to clients. She expertly balances handling complex legal issues with ensuring clients understand what is happening in their case.
Prior to joining Vardags, Ellie volunteered for a year at Great Yarmouth Citizens Advice Bureau as a social policy volunteer. Her role included researching recurring client issues and devising new campaigns to tackle these problems.
During her time at university Ellie worked on student access projects with the Cambridge University Pro Bono Society, as well as acting as an assistant on the BNU Law Summer Programme at Girton College.
Ellie read Law at Girton College, Cambridge. She then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course with Distinction.
Ellie is a keen swimmer and also represented her college in hockey during her time as an undergraduate. She is an avid reader and a published poet, and enjoys skydiving whenever she can get the opportunity.
