Rebecca joined Vardags in the Cambridge office as an Associate solicitor in 2022. She was promoted to Associate Partner in March 2026 in recognition of her being instrumental to the growth of Vardags presence as one of the leading Family Law teams in East Anglia. She has been dedicated to the growth and success of the Cambridge office and its expanding team, whilst achieving exceptional outcomes for her clients across a range of matters.
She has been recognised by the L500 as a Rising Star since 2024 and as a Leading Associate since 2026.

Rebecca is praised for being an “empathetic and excellent family lawyer” in both the local and national legal community. Rebecca provides her clients with a complete service, not only with a keen eye to the forensic detail of their case, and a proactive approach to driving settlement from the outset, but also providing the support they need at a difficult time in their lives. Clients and peers describe her as being “tenacious and strong” and that she and her team “go the extra mile” whilst always ensuring that the client feels “heard and listened to”. Clients have described her as forming ‘a shield’ between them and their former partner, adjusting ger advice as to how to proceed based on what she learns, and knows, about how the opponent may behave.
Rebecca and her team frequently represent a wide variety of high-net-worth clients including extremely successful corporate clients, high profile individuals featuring in the public eye and financially weaker spouses who are being denied access to the marital wealth. Her client base is global, which raises interesting and unique issues of jurisdictional dispute. Rebecca prides herself on providing her clients with reassuring and comprehensive support in all aspects of their case and looking to always work practically and pragmatically to determine creative solutions to bring about the very best resolution for their case, with the minimal stress and expense.
Rebecca has considerable experience in all aspects of family and children law, having practiced almost exclusively in family law throughout her career. Her cases frequently encompass;

Rebecca was recognised in the Legal 500 2024 edition as being "tenacious and detail oriented", playing a key part in a team that is "diligent, technically sound and warm and friendly". She received further acclaim in the 2025 edition where she was named as a ‘Leading Associate’ and described as being ‘truly excellent’ and ‘standout’ with work at the ‘highest standard’.

‘Rebecca Fenner is an exceptional lawyer with a hugely detailed knowledge of her field. Her empathetic and kind approach to clients helps to reassure them, but she is also practical and conscientious and will leave no stone unturned to ensure the best results for those she represents. She has excellent analytical and client care skills. I would recommend her to anyone.’ - Legal 500
‘Rebecca Fenner was the solicitor who handled my case and provided, in my view, a truly outstanding service from the outset, throughout and to conclusion.’ - Legal 500
‘Rebecca Fenner is an effective and tenacious advocate who goes the extra mile for her clients.’ - Legal 500
‘Rebecca Fenner, in particular, was so tenacious and strong throughout the process that I felt like she was a shield between me and my ex-husband. Rebecca also gave me options during the process on how to proceed based on what she knew about me and my ex-husband. Most of all, I felt heard and listened to when I explained my particular struggles around dealing with the other party and how he would likely behave, given Rebecca’s experience. It felt like she’d seen us before and she knew how to handle it, and she did that really well.’ - Legal 500
‘Rebecca and her team considered my personal circumstances very carefully and made me feel held and supported throughout the whole divorce process. I also really appreciated that at a very stressful time in my life, I was able to send a lot of my initial information via WhatsApp, which made it easy to manage around my children.’ - Legal 500
‘I have experienced first class service from Vardags. My first appointment with Rebecca Fenner followed another with a different law firm. She instantly put me at ease and made me feel that I was justified, sensible and reasonable in my approach (unlike the previous solicitor). My case has been ongoing for some time and she has never failed to guide me and I have felt able to trust and heed her advice. Both Rebecca and Anna Jones attended my FDR and their presence made my day far less stressful with their confidence and humour.’ - Legal 500
Rebecca is hugely passionate about reading (in particular Italian crime novels) running and Hyrox (entering events across Europe as a keen amateur) caring for her ever expanding brood of rescue animals and spending time adventuring around the world with her children.
