EDUCATION AND CAREER 

After graduating with a 2:1 in Law (LLB) from Durham University, Sophie began her career at Shearman & Sterling (now A&O Shearman), where she progressed from Junior AML Officer to AML Officer. She later joined Slaughter and May as a Senior AML Officer. 

While working full-time, Sophie completed her LPC with Master’s (LLM) at the University of Law, achieving a Distinction.  

PERSONAL 

Originally from Harrogate, Sophie now lives in London but remains a passionate supporter of Ipswich Town FC, attending matches with her father whenever possible. At university, she played football for her college and now enjoys running and reformer Pilates. A self-described foodie, Sophie loves to travel and explore new cuisines and restaurants with friends. She also finds joy in reading, particularly fiction, and unwinding through cooking and trying out new recipes.
