Liz joined Vardags as an Associate in the Family law department. She is prized for her eye for detail and strategy, as well as her skill of working holistically with a range of clients in stressful, complicated, and demanding situations. She advises on all aspects of family law including divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, involving jurisdiction and other disputes; financial remedy proceedings, both in court and in private; private law proceedings for children; and modern family-building issues (on which she has written several articles and spoken on panels). She also drafts and advises on UK and overseas pre- and post-nuptial agreements, as well as cohabitation agreements/disputes.
Liz studied Law at King’s College London, being awarded both the Dickson Poon Scholarship and the Jelf Medal during her degree. She then studied the Legal Practice Course at BPP University achieving a distinction.
Liz has worked in a variety of roles during her career, before becoming an Associate at Vardags. She has experience working with a range of international, high-profile, HNW and UHNW clients representing them in the Family Court, High Court and via alternative dispute resolution. These cases often involve highly complex, opaque, and contentious issues with significant financial elements, including trusts, offshore assets and company structures. She has experience working on cases involving issues of financial non-disclosure, jurisdiction, safeguarding, domestic abuse/coercive and controlling behaviour, as well as surrogacy and adoption. Liz has built a network of third-party experts in these fields meaning her clients have access to this knowledge and support. She has also advised clients on a pro bono basis including victims of image-based sexual abuse, immigration/human rights issues, family law and B Corporation legal certification.
Liz is a member of Resolution which is an organisation that believes in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters.

Liz is a keen advocate for social mobility in law and helping people to achieve their potential irrespective of their background. She is interested in open-water swimming, cycling, hiking, going to gigs, cooking, eating new foods, reading and travelling to remote areas of the world.
