Amrit is a Senior Associate in Vardags’ London office. She specialises in financial remedies upon divorce and child arrangements.

Amrit trained at national law firm, qualifying as a solicitor in 2012. Prior to joining Vardags, Amrit worked at a number of leading national law firms with strong commercial and private client practices. From 2022 until 2025, she led the Family Law presence at the London office of a full-service law firm. Amrit joined Vardags as a Senior Associate in May 2025.
Amrit’s practice primarily focuses on financial remedies upon divorce. In particular, she often assists business people going through a divorce or separation, including those with complex and high value business assets and interests in the UK and abroad. Amrit also provides specialist expertise advising HNW individuals on how they can protect their wealth at the outset of a new relationship, such as through prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She also represents clients in child arrangement proceedings.

Amrit previously mentored students at the University of Leicester and supervised sessions and work at a Legal Clinic, allowing people to access initial free legal guidance and advice. Whilst undertaking her Legal Practice Course, she participated in the ‘Streetlaw’ programme, working with other students to reach out to secondary school pupils from deprived areas to encourage them to enter into further education and/or consider studying law.

Amrit studied Law at the University of Nottingham, before completing the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.
Amrit lives in London with her husband and their young daughter, having relocated from Nottingham after living there for almost 10 years. She has a busy family life and enjoys taking her little girl travelling as much as possible - her and her family love Italy!
At home, Amrit is a keen cook. She also loves the creative arts; whether it is drawing and painting or attending concerts or the theatre. Amrit reads as much as she can, and a few years ago, she formed a small book club with friends.
Whilst she hasn’t played properly in a long time, Amrit achieved Grade 8 on the piano ‘many moons ago’.
