Precis:

Prior to joining Vardags, Giulia trained at a regional law firm and upon qualification moved to a commercial firm in London, where she remained for just under two years in the litigation and commercial department. Giulia advises clients on a wide variety of civil and commercial litigation issues, with a particular focus on company and contractual disputes. Giulia undertakes a wide variety of insolvency work representing both debtors, creditors and insolvency practitioners across the full range of corporate and personal insolvency processes. Giulia’s insolvency work has seen her act in the bankruptcy case of a well renowned sportsman. Giulia also has experience in employment matters, particularly negotiating exit packages, acting for both employers and employees. In addition, Giulia has acted in Presumption of Death Act applications undertaking her own advocacy before Chancery Masters in the High Court.

Giulia was awarded the Nottingham Law School portfolio of the year, and has a Diploma in Professional Practice.

Education:

Giulia read Law at Nottingham Law School graduating with Honours in 2013. During her final year at University, Giulia worked as a volunteer case worker for the Innocence Project working to overturn and prevent the wrongful conviction of innocent people. After completing her undergraduate degree, Giulia studied her LPC at BBP in Cambridge whilst working as a director of Streetlaw leading a team of volunteers and educating vulnerable people on their legal rights and responsibilities.

Career:

During her placement year at University, Giulia worked as a Legal Clerk at top tier law firm Hodge, Jones & Allen. After finishing her placement, Giulia undertook two mini pupillages firstly at 3 Paper Buildings one of the oldest and largest sets in London and secondly at common law set 42 Bedford Row. Giulia trained for two years at a leading law firm in Buckinghamshire undertaking seats in civil and commercial litigation, personal injury, commercial property and real estate. On qualification, Giulia moved to a commercial firm in London working in their litigation and commercial department.

Personal:

Giulia was born in Italy and lived there for seven years. Giulia has a keen interest in Italian cooking and art history. Outside of work, Giulia likes to explore and travel having recently undertaken an American road trip driving from New Orleans to Seattle.
