Precis: Beth joined Vardags as a paralegal in January 2017 and became a trainee solicitor in June. During her time at university, Beth took part in the student law office programme to provide pro-bono advice on a range of family law matters to clients, and achieved a distinction for her work. She volunteered for the charity AMICUS to campaign against the death penalty in America as well as fundraising for the Children’s Foundation in Newcastle as part of their ‘Take25’ campaign.

Accolades: Beth received the ‘Vibe’ Award for Outstanding Achievement in Learning from Darlington Borough Council.

Education: Beth read law at Durham University, before completing  the Legal Practice Course with commendation at Northumbria University in 2016.

Personal: Outside of work, Beth practises yoga and pilates, enjoys baking, is an avid reader and loves to travel. Following her undergraduate degree she took a year out of education to work, which allowed her to entirely self-fund her further studies. During this time she also took a course in beginners Italian.
