Alex regularly acts for individuals and companies in times of crisis, and is committed to helping clients manage complex problems sensitively and discreetly.

Alex has particular expertise in pre- and post-publication and broadcast issues in libel and privacy. She regularly secures the withdrawal or amendment of articles or programmes before release. She is also skilled at dealing with issues post-publication and has secured apologies and Statements in Open Court for clients from a range of national newspapers.

Alex frequently helps clients to manage unwanted media attention. She draws on her experience to help clients devise and implement effective strategies to manage reputation during times of crisis, such as high-profile litigation or employment disputes. She is also experienced at dealing with online threats, and regularly secures the removal of content from websites, blog sites and other social media.

Alex also has extensive experience of advising on threats from non-media sources such as disgruntled employees or those with an axe to grind.

Education:

Alex gained a 2:1 in Law from Queens' College, Cambridge, and completed her LPC with Distinction at the College of Law.

Alex is regularly sought out for expert legal commentary for both print and broadctas, and has featured on BBC News, Talk Radio, in the Telegraph and in Citywealth amongst others.

 

Career:

Alex completed her legal training at a Magic Circle firm, which included a 6 month secondment to the Prince's Trust, before spending 8 years working at a leading media law firm in London.
