Poppy read Law at University of Warwick, obtaining a First Class Honours.
Poppy received a Reward and Recognition Award from the Law Commission for her work on Welsh translation. She also placed as a runner up in 1 King Bench Walk’s Essay Competition 2021, with “Should the family law of England and Wales replace the terms ‘mother’ and ‘father’ with a broad definition of ‘parent’?”.
After completing her law degree at Warwick University, Poppy spent two years working as a Research Assistant at the Law Commission in the Public Law and Law in Wales team.

Poppy is a soprano in Côr Llundain, a Welsh language choir based in London. She is also a keen sportswoman, and while at University of Warwick served as President of the Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club, regularly competing in University League competitions. In her free time, Poppy enjoys ready, creative writing, surfing and learning to ice skate.
