Form C

After the Form A is issued, signifying the start of financial proceedings, the parties will receive a Notice of a First Appointment (Form C).

This document outlines the First Directions Appointment hearing, which is the initial hearing in the financial proceedings process. This document will include information about the hearing, such as the date, time, and place, as well as the deadlines that the parties must meet in the lead up to the hearing.

Both spouses will receive a copy of this, and it will include the steps you must take before your first hearing and the deadlines for each action. This includes filling out forms ES1 and ES2. An ES1 is a composite case summary which sets out all the key information, such as the case number, the names of the parties involved, information as to costs incurred and estimated, as well as a full and concise summary of the issues at hand. An ES2 is a composite asset schedule, set out in a spreadsheet.
