Laura Sgrò is a lawyer specialising in canon law, ecclesiastical proceedings and personality rights. As a qualified Rotal Lawyer, she is authorised to practise before ecclesiastical tribunals worldwide, including the Tribunal of the Roman Rota, alongside her work as a lawyer before the Court of Appeal of Vatican City State and the Labour Office of the Apostolic See.

Laura graduated from the University of Messina, and wrote her thesis on comparative criminal law on sexual crimes against minors, comparing English and Italian law.
She has obtained a licentiate in Canon Law from the Pontificial Lateral University, and also a doctorate degree in Canon Law from the Pontificial University of St Thomas Aquinas.
