Sarah Hogarth, Senior Associate
Sarah advises on all issues arising from the breakdown of marriage for high-net-worth individuals, often dealing with disputes which have complex financial or international aspects. A significant number of her cases involve trusts, corporate structures and jurisdiction issues. Sarah is also experienced in dealing with financial claims following an overseas divorce (Part III MFPA 1984), and is involved in a case currently making its way through the Court of Appeal.
In addition, Sarah has significant experience in private children matters, including living arrangements and financial provision.
Sarah acts for a wide variety of individuals from city professionals and entrepreneurs to homemakers. Sarah provides reassuring and proactive guidance during what is an extremely difficult time in people’s lives. Sarah has extensive experience of litigation, but is also committed to achieving solutions outside of the court setting, where appropriate and possible, tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and goals.
Sarah attended King’s College, London then the College of Law in Bloomsbury.
Before joining Vardags Sarah trained as an Advisor at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Camden, advising clients on a wide range of areas and concerns. Following this, Sarah obtained a distinction in the LPC at the College of Law before subsequently undertaking her training with Vardags, before rising through the ranks to be made Senior Associate in 2017.
I will be forever truly thankful to both Sarah and Ella of Vardags. They have guided me through each step of the process with quiet patience, compassion and professionalism. There were moments when I became so overwhelmed yet each time they were there for me with calm and wonderful support. If I could give more than five stars I would without a doubt! (Former Client)
Georgina Hamblin and Sarah Hogarth handled the financial side of my divorce. Due to my ex-wife and I reconciling for a period, I have worked with them for the past five years. When my position looked bleak, they protected me with a creative defense based upon legal precedent which I never imagined existed under English law. Thanks to their tireless efforts, I walk away from this episode free to move on with both my career and my life in peace. You may find good or even great lawyers, but based on my personal experience, they are the best. (Former Client)
Sarah enjoys the theatre, travel, and cooking. Sarah also has a passionate interest in music, having been classically trained to Grade 8 (ABRSM) on the flute and piano.
