Her clients are high net worth individuals, professional peers, accountants, business owners and their spouses. She has also acted for sports professionals and television personalities. Michelle has specific expertise in dealing with complex financial proceedings, including significant experience of working with intricate asset structures and trusts,  international asset-tracing, financial non–disclosure and cases involving third parties, having been described by leading counsel as “ruthlessly efficient” in her preparation and organisation for High Court cases.

Education: Michelle read English Language and Literature at the University of Manchester, before undertaking the LPC at Manchester Metropolitan University.

In 2014, Michelle undertook a professional development foundation course in Psychology, a field of great interest to her. These studies have supported her interest in developing  and utilising the most effective methods of communication to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

Career: Michelle specialises in divorce and matrimonial finance and all financial aspects relating to the separation of unmarried couples. She also advises on children’s matters, both financial issues (known as Schedule 1) and in matters relating to care arrangements disputes, including relocation within the U.K. and internationally.

Michelle has also worked outside of family law as a as a Prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service, where she conducted her own trials. This provided her with significant advocacy experience.

Personal: In her spare time, Michelle can be found out and about enjoying Manchester’s eclectic and exciting social scene, this being the city of her birth and, more importantly, her city of choice.
