Lia joined Vardags as a Client Relations Specialist.
Lia read French and Linguistics (BA) at Oxford University. She specialised in modern French literature, translation studies, and Sociolinguistics. She achieved a distinction in the spoken element of her degree. She spent a year abroad in France as part of her degree.
Lia is interested in the world of family law and previously undertook work experience with a King’s Counsel at a leading family law set of chambers in London.
During her time in France, Lia spent five months as a Cultural Mediation Intern at Château La Coste in Provence, a large luxury hotel and vineyard with an art centre. She gave tours of the contemporary art and architecture. Lia also interned as an English Language Assistant in a primary school in Bordeaux for six months, teaching English to children aged 3-11. She was recognised as one of the few ‘exceptional interns’ in her cohort.
At University, Lia was the Deputy Chair of the New College Essay Society and the Charities Officer for the JCR (Junior Common Room) Committee.
Lia is fluent in French, conversational in Spanish, and is interested in learning Italian for her next challenge.
Lia is a keen solo-traveller and animal lover who enjoys long walks with her dog, Willow. She makes use of London’s wealth of art and culture, often visiting the city’s galleries and theatres.
