Alice Czernia

Education

Alice studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath, graduating with a First Class Honours. Alice then completed her MA in Law at the University of Bristol, achieving a merit.

Career

During Alice’s BSc, she interned with the HM Courts & Tribunals Service as a Listings Officer and assisted with the implementation of the Cloud Video Platform. Alice was also the social secretary for the Caledonian Society.

Whilst studying for her MA, Alice volunteered as an Independent Advocate for Age Cymru, receiving an Outstanding Bristol PLUS award in the Change Maker category for her work. Alice was also the Social Secretary for the Environmental and Energy Law Society, a member of UKELA, and the elected Student Representative for her university. 

After completing her MA, Alice became a part-time Legal and Client Relations Assistant at COUNSEL, and a part-time Graduate Legal Advisor at the University of Bristol Law Clinic. 

Alice also mentored for Zero Gravity, helping disadvantaged students apply to Russell Group universities.

Languages

Alice is a native Polish speaker, and also speaks basic German.

Personal

Alice enjoys undertaking challenges, such as running half-marathons and hiking Munros in Scotland. She also loves attending philharmonic performances and reading non-fiction books. 

Alice is Polish, but grew up in Scotland until moving to the South West for university, before coming to London.
