Ayesha Vardags, President

Precis: Leora joined Vardags as a paralegal on the graduate training scheme in September 2016 and has embarked on the LPC part time with BPP Law School Holborn. In June 2016, Leora achieved a Commendation on the Graduate Diploma in Law with City University. During the conversion course, Leora worked with The School Exclusions Project, a pro bono scheme aiding permanently excluded children back into mainstream education. She also volunteered with Vocalise as a debating mentor and as a group leader for Big Voice London’s model law commission, focusing on the law surrounding surrogacy.

Accolades: Leora was awarded an Astbury Scholarship and Harmsworth Entrance Exhibition from The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Education: Leora read English at Emmanuel College, graduating in Cambridge 2015.

Personal: When not working or studying, Leora is likely to be pursuing her passion for dance. She is classically trained and has achieved distinctions in Grade 8 RAD Ballet, Intermediate ISTD Modern and Advanced 1 Tap. Whilst at Cambridge, she took part in numerous performances and was the Vice President of the University Ballet Club 2014-15. Since moving to London, she has frequented the Royal Opera House, Sadler’s Wells, Pineapple studios and Studio 68. Her other interests include food, cinema and beautiful shoes.
