Precis: Jacqueline joined Vardags in November 2017, having previously undertaken an internship translating and editing company documents in an engineering consultancy firm in Paris. She has also worked in the Cheltenham Literature Festival bookshop, welcoming both authors and festival-goers for book signings.

Ayesha Vardags, President

Accolades: Jacqueline was awarded the Marjorie Countess of Warwick Bursary in 2014 for the highest marks by a female candidate in the French first year examinations across Oxford University. She was a Scholar of St Hugh’s College.

Education: Jacqueline graduated in 2017 with a First Class degree in Modern Languages from St Hugh’s College, Oxford.

Languages: Jacqueline speaks fluent French and Spanish.

Personal: In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys going to the theatre and joined a theatre group in Salamanca, Spain, during her Year Abroad. She also enjoys reading contemporary fiction and is intending to take up her interest in the piano again after a few years’ break.
