Iona is an Assistant Solicitor in our Family department with a focus on complex financial issues that arise on divorce.
Iona joined Vardags on the Graduate Training programme and went on to qualify as a solicitor. She assists on cases dealing with a wide range of family law issues, and in particular those relating to divorce and the financial issues that arise thereafter. Iona graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, with a first class degree in Classics, and also obtained an MPhil in Roman and Greek Art from the same university. Whilst at university, Iona was awarded the Classics Faculty’s Henry Arthur Thomas Travel Exhibition, and Trinity College’s Perring Travelling Scholarship.
After leaving Cambridge, Iona completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School, receiving a distinction in respect of both courses.
Prior to joining Vardags, Iona taught Latin & Greek at a prestigious UK boarding school, and gained experience in family, commercial and art law.
Having grown up in a bilingual household, Iona is fluent in Dutch. She also has a basic command of Spanish.
Iona spends her free time hiking, baking and volunteering with the Scout Association. She is also an avid reader and podcast-listener.
