Amy is General Counsel for Vardags, advising management on a wide range of matters including legal, risk, compliance and reputational issues. She has over a decade of experience serving as in-house counsel in the Legal & Risk department of a Magic Circle firm, with the overall priority of influencing and driving the management of risk across the firm and protecting its reputation.
Amy trained at a Magic Circle firm, qualifying into its Tax team before joining the Legal & Risk department, where she served as in-house counsel for 12 years. As in-house counsel, Amy dealt with legal and commercial conflicts and new business acceptance. She was responsible for managing professional negligence claims and complaints made against the firm, assisting with internal investigations, and placing the firm’s global professional indemnity insurance amongst other professional insurances. She was a trusted advisor to the firm’s partners, lawyers and business teams, providing general risk advice to ensure the highest level of risk compliance.
Amy read Law at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a First Class Honours. She then went on to complete the LPC with distinction.
Amy lives in the countryside with her husband, three young sons and their labrador. She enjoys running and exercise, baking and skiing, and can be found out walking the dog!
