Camilla Fisher Crouch

Camilla advises clients on the financial, strategic and protective aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, the breakdown of relationships, financial remedies and injunctive proceedings (i.e. obtaining/defending non-molestation and occupation orders). Camilla routinely advises on high-profile cases which have an international angle and which are heard in the High Court.

Having qualified as a private client lawyer initially, Camilla has an in-depth knowledge of trusts and different asset-holding structures, meaning that her cases tend to involve complex corporate and/or trust cross-jurisdiction structures.

Camilla regularly advises her clients on:

  • The financial matters which arise from the breakdown of a divorce/civil partnership, both which are being heard in court and which are being dealt with privately

This includes strategically guiding clients through to final settlement, and includes advising on disclosure, pre-marital wealth, family wealth, pre and post nuptial agreements, settlement parameters including offers which should be made and the negotiation approach which should be taken, and the securing of a resolution, even with the most challenging of circumstances and the most complex of assets.

  • Jurisdictional disputes

These include: advising clients on the extent to which each party could file for divorce/judicial separation under English law; consulting with overseas counsel to be clear on whether filing abroad would be possible; organising the urgent filing and serving of English petitions so as to secure jurisdiction in England; liaising with overseas counsel and courts in relation to cases commenced by the opponent; negotiating stays of disputed overseas proceedings; where agreement cannot be reached, advising on commencing jurisdiction dispute proceedings at court, and those proceedings themselves.

  • Schedule 1 cases (i.e. securing financial provision for the children of unmarried parents)
  • Interim financial matters, such as maintenance and legal funding

Camilla takes pride in being a robust and strong advocate for her clients, with a forensic eye for detail and an emotionally intelligent approach.
