Vardags has a sweet tooth for Red Nose Day

To raise money for Red Nose Day, the London team put on their best oven gloves to create all types of treats. The spread included a full sweep of chocolate brownies, raspberries galore, gravity-defying decorations, oozing cream eggs and oodles of caramel.

Some among us, myself included, considered that the only way to decide who was most worthy of the cake crown was to taste every single entry. This was no mean feat as the office had created no less than 13 different types of confection.

Acting as guest judge, she gave her award to John Oxley for his glittering chocolate and honeycomb chef d’oeuvre. The prize for best taste unanimously went to Andrew Pursley for his ever so indulgent Oreo cheesecake.

Well done to everyone who competed, and thank you to the whole team for taking part so enthusiastically in the sugary feast and helping us support a very, very good cause.
