Vardags Equestrian at Munstead – success all round!

Last Saturday Munstead Horse trials in Surrey hosted their second event of the season. With both Helena Vardag-Walters and Flora Harris in attendance the day was extremely successful. Helena, having two rides in the BE 100, began the day with an excellent dressage test on the beautiful Vardags Nuteller. Moving on to the show jumping, the pair soared to a clear in their most confident round to date. In the final phase, despite picking up an unfortunate 20 penalties, Helena still managed to finish just outside of the top 20 with an otherwise faultless round. On her second ride of the day, Vardags Bucephalus, Helena up her game even further. Starting with a much improved 34.8 in the dressage, Helena and Cephy then went on to jump a flawless double inside the time; finishing on a score of 34.8 in 8^th place. This pair are definitely one to watch for the future! Not to be sidelined, our lovely youngster Vivendi de Vardag shone in her BE 100, under the expert guidance of Flora. The team did their best dressage to date gaining an impressive score of 28.0, this was followed up by a perfect double clear to finish in 3^rd place. This little mare has so much talent; she is a real jumping machine!
