Vardags celebrated in Family Lawyer Index

Both Ayesha Vardag and Catherine Thomas were included in the Spears Wealth Management list of the top 50 lawyers. The directory covers only the very best practitioners in high value claims, focusing on the very best and very brightest.

Ayesha and Catherine were both featured prominently in the list.  The Vardags’ president received a long write up, praising her expertise in complex international finance cases. The authors wrote “Her polish and confidence belie an acumen that has seen Vardags treble its revenue in twelve months, following the record award against a husband who claimed bankruptcy in Young v Young and the continuing Chai v Peng ‘Miss Malaysia’ case, where ‘there’s a very good prospect of a record breaking payout’.”

Catherine was also celebrated for her role in  Young v Young and Pauline Chai’s case. Speaking to the index, she opined on the future of prenups, saying  “People say they’re unromantic, but then in my experience the run from engagement to wedding can often be quite unromantic anyway. I think they’ll move to being the standard for a lot of families. When every generation of a family has had one, then it won’t be a big deal.”

The inclusion of both Catherine and Ayesha in the index cements Vardags’ place at the top of high value family law.
