Vardags’ founder and president, Ayesha Vardag, spoke to the Daily Telegraph for their article on the science of dating and the failings of meeting online. The article looked at new research which suggested that couples who met online were three times more likely to divorce than those who met face to face, whilst online daters were far more likely to split from their partners within a year of dating.
Speaking in relation to these trends, Ayesha observed “There is a greediness involved in online dating. It is, after all, a sort of digital menu full of people waiting to be chosen or disregarded. As well as the convenience factor it’s easy to get carried away with the high of instant gratification and not give the relationship a real chance to develop.”
Ayesha was quoted alongside a number of leading psychologists and academics in relation to online dating and desire.
