Vardags is delighted to welcome James Bunker, who joins us in London this month to launch the new property law department.
James, who is ranked as a notable individual in Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2018, has a wealth of experience in acting for high net worth individuals, families, family offices, companies and trustees in connection with their property affairs in England and Wales.
His department will handle the buying, selling and mortgaging of properties, along with lease extensions and renewals, and will advise on the protection of interests in property and general land law matters. There will be particular focus on properties in the prime and super-prime residential markets. The department will also work very closely alongside the family department to provide expert advice on property issues following family breakdown, including matrimonial conveyancing and Schedule 1 Claims.
The department is the latest expansion for Vardags, which is led by “Britain’s top divorce lawyer” Ayesha Vardag and originally made its name in matrimonial law. James’ expertise on the prime and super-prime London residential market rounds out Vardags’ offering into what is now a one-stop shop for high net worth clients.
James says he is excited to have joined Vardags and be at the helm of the new department.
“I am so delighted to have joined Vardags. It’s an incredible firm of unbelievably talented individuals where clients’ interests are at the heart of absolutely everything they do – a natural home for my clients and my passion for property! These really are exciting times indeed!”
His recommendations are glowing. Celebrated for his skill and unparalleled drive, James’s peers also note in the Chambers guide what a “really nice guy” he is and the “wit and humour” he brings to his deals.
James has already made a real impact on his new colleagues and we all look forward to working with him.
