Helena Vardag-Walters has a need for speed at the National A**

Vardags Equestrian had the most exciting and successful few days over in Italy last week with a double win for Helena! The national competition, set in Teaterno, went fantastically form the start. On the first morning of competition Sara Battista and Black Honey came 3rd in the 125m National A**, but this was just the beginning. In her first Italian competition Helena won the National A** 100m on the beautiful Corino De Vardag, the pair sped to victory beating out second place by three seconds.
Not content with one win, or even one placing, Helena came back the second day to win again on our newest addition Belle Etoile de Vardag and came a close second on Corino! Amazingly her winning round was a whole 14 seconds faster than her competitor in third – a truly brilliant achievement, we may see Helena rivalling the fastest man in the UAE – watch out Ahmad! On her final ride of the weekend Helena would have won on speed alone but for an unfortunate stop at the last. Helena’s incredible feat over the two-day competition showed not only her unwavering commitment to the sport but also her rising talent and determination to succeed. The competition ended on a final high for Vardags equestrian with Sara Battista and Black Honey coming third in their final 125- 130m round – what a superb couple of days!
