Ayesha Vardag wins Citywealth Career Achievement Award

The champagne was flowing at the Rosewood London Hotel last night for the sixth annual Citywealth Powerwomen awards.

The awards recognise individuals and companies who maximise the potential of women in wealth.

Vardags directors Georgina Hamblin and Chris Hall sat down for dinner with a number of business high flyers for an evening hosted by rugby legend Will Greenwood.

They were delighted to come away having accepted, on behalf of Ayesha Vardag, a career achievement award celebrating her extraordinary ascent.

Hired away from the bar by her own divorce lawyer, Ayesha set up her own family law firm out of the living room of her Islington townhouse. She rose to fame after winning the landmark case Radmacher v Granatino and within a decade had become known as the ’diva of divorce’, representing tycoons, celebrities and royals alike.

Now boasting 5 offices and over 100 handpicked employees, the firm’s growth has been nothing short of explosive. Vardags has been noted as being among the fastest growing companies in the UK in the The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, and more recently in all of Europe in the FT1000 rankings.
