Ayesha Vardag joined some of the world’s foremost family lawyers to give a talk at the event Family Law Cases in International Jurisdictions, at the Capital Club in Dubai this week.
Ayesha discussed ‘Multi-jurisdictional cases with a Middle Eastern element’, while her French co-speakers, Véronique Chauveau and Charlotte Butruille-Cardew, both founding partners of the Paris law firm CBBC, discussed the nexus of Emirati and French law.
The fourth speaker was Diana Hamade, a lawyer and founder of International Advocate Legal Services in Dubai. Ayesha had previously spoken alongside Ms Hamade at a family law conference on Sharia Law at King’s College London.
The event, a collaborative effort between the three law firms from London, Paris and Dubai, was a great success, and hopefully the first of many more to come.
