Poised mid-cake-cutting, Ayesha and Stephen look somewhat mischievous in the photo while wielding the cake knife. The magazine mentions, of course, the ceremonial signing of the postnup, a quirky addition to proceedings that made a witty nod to the couple's profession on the wedding day. What stands out from the page is the colourful contrast between the other featured weddings. While the others are white, grey and traditional, Ayesha and Stephen's picture is vibrant with the exotic shades of the scarlet bridal gown, set against the lush draperies of the Arabian tent that hosted the reception. The cake is dotted with rich red roses. It's a perfect, microcosmic reflection of the day itself, which was indeed a colourful affair filled with champagne, sunshine, Viennese waltzing, Bollywood bhangra, English gardens and just a splash of English rain.
