Children with Cancer's annual event [Opera at Syon](https://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/Event/opera-at-syon-2015) is always a highlight of the Vardags

calendar, not least because Ayesha and the firm have been active supporters of this invaluable charity for some time and Ayesha is a member of the event's committee.

![Syon opera](https://vardags.com/pictures/2015/06/IMG_3237-slightly-small-300x225-300x225.jpg)Opera at Syon is a wonderful initiative that stages opera in the conservatory of Syon Park, the exquisite Italian Renaissance style house built on the foundations of an ancient medieval abbey in West London, and home to the Duke of Northumberland.

This year, the two operas staged were Mozart's *Le Nozze di Figaro* and Donizetti's *Lucia di Lammermoor*.[![Syon opera](https://vardags.com/pictures/2015/06/IMG_3245-smaller-300x225-300x225.jpg)](https://www.divaopera.com/)

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception and a picnic during the performances by [Diva Opera](https://www.divaopera.com/)

, Britain's foremost chamber opera company.

Children with Cancer funds medical research and provides support to young people suffering from cancer, and their families. You can read more about their incredible work [here](https://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/).
