I want to move abroad with my child but my ex won’t agree, what can I do?

If your ex opposes your plan to move abroad with your children, there are numerous strategies that can be deployed to overcome their opposition.

To relocate abroad with your children, you will need to get permission from the other parent, or anyone else who has parental responsibility. If permission is not given, you will need to seek permission from the court. The courts primary concern will be whether it is in your childrens best interests to do so, and whether there is an appropriate strategy in place for the children to maintain regular contact with the other parent.

Vardags are adept at negotiating child contact arrangements that can work in the best interests of both parties. We have a strong track record of success and can advise you on how to present your best possible case to the court.
