Ayesha Vardag discussed with Grazia the top pieces of advice to make a marriage work. Although there is a misconception that divorce lawyers want to tear couples apart, Vardag says, ‘Actually, lawyers have gone into that particular area of law because they really care about families,’ She suggests that divorce lawyers could have gone into an area of law with more money but they are often trying to achieve a positive outcome for someone.
Vardag believes that it is absolutely key to make your partner a priority. ‘set aside time and make them feel like a priority.’
She thinks you should be each others best friend, always take their side, remind them why you first fell in love, keep your own interests, make your own money, don’t give up too easily and keep having sex.
