Sophie Cantillon graduated with honours in Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method from The London School of Economics in 2009. She then completed the Graduate Diploma in Law, and the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School. She was called to the bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 2011. Sophie joined Vardags as a Trainee Solicitor shortly thereafter, and commenced her Law Practice Course, whilst completing her training contract. She achieved a distinction in her LPC, and went on to conclude her training contract with Vardags, qualifying in August 2014. As a Senior Associate, Sophie specialises in all areas of family law including divorce, financial matters, the drafting of pre and post nuptial agreements and disputes in relation to children.
Sophie has particular expertise in dealing with cases that have an international element, having advised clients in cases with competing jurisdictions as between England and Bahrain, Dubai, France, India, Italy, China, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, Canada, the US and others.
Sophie grew up in London and enjoys socialising with friends and family. Sophie has great commercial awareness, establishing her own business at the age of 18.
