Mariam Muzaffar
Mariam Muzaffar graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in New York in 2008 and is admitted to the New York State Bar. Mariam has worked on prestigious research and policy projects at Amnesty International’s legal research department, Human Rights First (Law and Security Division), the Pakistan Mission to the UN and the US Department of Homeland Security. Much of Mariam’s work has been used in hot political arenas such as US military accountability, US involvement in counter-terrorism in the Horn of Africa and Guantanamo Bay detention cases.
Mariam moved into family law after working at Safe Horizon, an organization which provides legal services to the victims of domestic violence. She has been working in children and money cases with the firm since November 2008 and has been involved in high net worth and complex work.
Mariam speaks fluent Urdu, Arabic and proficient Spanish and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
