Emily Brand
Emily is a director at Vardags. She read English Literature at St John’s College, Cambridge subsequently completing the CPE (law conversion course) with commendation and LPC (solicitor’s qualification) with distinction at the College of Law, London. She undertook her training contract at Manches and remained in their matrimonial law departments (initially in London and then Oxford) post-qualification.
Emily specialises in complex financial cases involving cross-jurisdictional elements.

Emily speaks fluent German and regularly gives seminars on the English common law system to the Berlin judiciary. She previously lectured at both the Free University in Berlin and the University of Potsdam and conducted academic legal research in German on pre-nuptial agreements. She also participated in her own family law case under German law.
