She achieved the highest mark in the year for Statistical Analysis, achieving a double first in that subject. Annemarie was selected to be one of ten founding student members of the University’s first Pro Bono Society. The initiative was so successful; the group was awarded the LawWorks ‘Best New Pro Bono Activity’ award by Baroness Scotland.
Following her achievements at Durham, Annemarie returned home to Manchester to continue her legal studies at BPP Law School. Whilst studying in Manchester, she secured a permanent position as a litigation assistant with a top tier firm. Annemarie impressed her superiors and soon found herself managing a team of paralegals alongside a demanding study schedule.
Annemarie commenced her training at a full service national firm and joined Vardags Manchester office in June 2016 to complete her training. Annemarie qualified as a solicitor in September 2016. Already highly experienced, Annemarie has been involved in cases with complex financial settlements as well as private children law proceedings.
Annemarie takes a keen interest in politics and was previously elected as Trafford’s member of the Youth Parliament. At the University of Durham, she was elected as Vice-Chairwoman of the Students Union Council for her final two years. In her leisure time, Annemarie enjoys sampling Manchester’s vibrant food and drink scene.
