Q:How long does a divorce take?

A:

It largely depends on how your spouse behaves and how busy the courts are.  As a rule of thumb the dissolution of the marriage takes between four and six months.  However, the marriage is not usually dissolved until the finances have been resolved, which often takes longer than this.
